Wedding dress patterns?

I want to do my wedding dress, but all the books because as Vogue, Butterick, etc. are rather simple and horrible looking stuff obsolete. I never liked stuff pattern book. Does anyone know where else you can get married models?

Good luck to your wedding dress!
It is a challenging and interesting work to be done carefully.

If you do not like the layout model specification of wedding dresses, my suggestion is to return to the books and find a model of a princess dress or a simple line you like.
The bodice is the most important. Try to get a neck you want. The skirt is much easier to change from size
Look at either evening or day wear regular, retro modern, vintage, classic or history.

Then make your own modifications to make a wedding dress. It is surprisingly not that hard to do! The hardest part is making the base coat which is then decorated to resemble a wedding dress.

Some older models to look through;

Another suggestion is to find something close to what you want and try to find a model-maker / editor who can make the pattern or changes for you.
Dressmakers experience should be able to make changes to model also
Otherwise, the only other person I think is a sewing machine / guardian garment workers in private or teaching in a technical college.
There are also some companies specialized in the manufacture of models ... if you can find them!

I had a sewing teacher who worked in private. It was fantastic, a former Tech College Fashion Design teacher who had also done a wedding in a bridal salon. She guided me through the realization of my dress and checked changes I did. Decorations / pearls etc. was left to me. My bridal consultant where I bought the fabric and lace, helped me with the placement of lace on the skirt.

I wanted a Victorian style dress wedding and was pretty sure I would end up doing it. I found my model in the History section of books Butterick.
My first choice of model was http://www.butterick.com/item/B3012.htm <br /> but it needs too many changes to the bodice to get what I envisioned ... High neckline and sleeves.
My second reason is http://www.butterick.com/item/B4212.htm? B4212 = search & page = 1
and my dress was made from it, with some changes to the skirt pattern ... open the skirt to take a semi cathedral length train. The jacket was great!

It's amazing what the fabric and lace and pearls can make the ground!
I used heavy bridal satin ivory, champagne, ivory organza at the bodice, ivory lace pattern to the bodice and a jacket, wide sewn lace ivory pleated organza, even sewn beaded lace on the train, beaded lace small white at the neckline and down the side seams of the front skirt, seed beads lined with silver, pearl beads and 3mm glass beads 4mm beads, sequins champagne.
The dress turned out beautifully.

Best wishes for making the dress of your dreams!

Do you like this pattern, http://www.ubrides.com/home.php?cat=635 & amp; CATEXP = 635?

You should look on Craftster .... It's a site with all the boats of different categories ... including sewing and lots of girls there have their wedding dress. Pattern Links Pics and advice, and may be ... They also give advice, as some of them are really good ... link below.

I loved that dress, but if I do, I'd probably use another type of tissue.
