Power captain Dom Cassisi ties the knot

PORT Adelaide came to the Bay yesterday, when Captain Power Domenic Cassisi married long time girlfriend Maiya Varta in Somerton Park.

About 90 guests attended the ceremony in the chapel of Sacred Heart College, where Maiya went to school.

Among them were Power coach Mark Williams and his wife Pauline, Chad Cornes and Julia Cherry Partner, Kane Cornes and wife Lucy, Dean Brogan, Peter Burgoyne and former captain Matthew Primus.

Also on the guest list was a real estate agent Anthony Toop and whose wife Sylvia Kuitpo Winery, Battung Hill was the place for wedding reception last night.

Mr Toop, who is also a member of the Board Port Adelaide, was delighted to welcome the team captain.

"We spent most of New Year's Day there, done that everything is in order, but of course I am very pleased to welcome," he said.

"You do nothing for your team."

Maiya wore a beautiful white bustier Collette Dinnigan dress and holding a bouquet of mixed colored roses and ferns, while her three bridesmaids wore full length dresses peaches by Sydney designer Yeoja Bae.

Daughter's Bridal Shower - Adelaide

Today was Sarah's bridal shower. Sarah's Hen's night is on the night that I return home from New Zealand so everyone decided on the bridal shower so that I could be there too. It ended up being put on by me in our backyard.

We played a few little games which caused lots of laughter. We then had 3 "models" who were dressed by 2 "helpers". They had to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper. A few balloons were used too.

When they were finished, the 3 new brides with their designer dresses had to be judged. I was the only judge and all outfits had their own merits. I took the easy way out. My dog Angel was standing in front of them so I told him to jump on the "bride" that he thought was the winner. He looked at them all, sniffed a couple of them and then jumped on Debra. We had our winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a lot of fun!

Try the wedding scene. I know some of them are disgusting. There is one on Goodwood halfway Road in the city which is pretty good. We went in there for one of my friends and they had very few dresses and cheap.
