Newlywed Heidi Morter seen in Last New Year waiting to die from cancer - but a miracle cure means she is alive and celebrating the start of 2010

There are just 12 months, support mother-of-three is a list of resolutions for her husband, planned his funeral, and took away all her clothes, including her wedding dress.

But after a last-chance attempt to keep alive, Heidi is in remission. She beamed: "I have a second chance in life."

It was all so different before last New Year.Heidi, 41, was at death's door after being diagnosed with terminal cancer soon after her marriage to Russell, her partner of five years.

She had suffered stomach pains and found a piece, so after her big day in July 2008, she went for tests. Doctors told him it was cancer of the kidney. Worse still, it had spread to his liver and lungs and she had only weeks to live.

Heidi, from Northwich, Cheshire, said: "I went from sublime happiness to have torn my world.
